Settings:

single light (Area)
Render type: PathTracing - photon and path, 2 AA samples

Assorted reflectivity and IOR on materials.

Clean Renders

If you want to try out a new rendering solution, try the open-source YAFRAY (Yet Another Free RayTracer). I'm happy with the updated integration with Blender.

The below image is a piece I am working on...eventually to go to 3D Print.
